Veidec Festival 23-26 juli is next up on the FIA European Dragracing Championhip schedule. The islanders have prepare the dragster with a new clutch and are ready to fight for the championship points !! Be there, this weekend will be a thriller....
Paul Ingar Udtian and the Islanders had a Shaky weekend in Alastaro…
There were made adjustments to the dragster before the race, so it would fit the new rules in the TMD class, and the team was looking forward to a weekend with a lot of driving. Unfortunately, we only got two qualifying rounds because of rain and delays, and it got even worse for the Islanders when we lost one of the rounds because of an oil leak. We had to get a good time to qualify, so we tuned the dragster relatively hard. Unfortunately, we tuned it too hard, and Paul Ingar got a massive tireshake in our only qualifying round for the weekend. The time 6,01 wasn’t good enough to qualify in the eight car field, and we missed “the show” for the first time in many years. A positive thing about the weekend was a new personal best to 60ft, 0,92 seconds.
Before Veidec Festival:
We have a new clutch, and both the dragster and the driver are ready for fight at Veidec Festival. Hopefully, we’ll get a tight TMD field, where many teams have the opportunity to take home the trophy. We’re feeling a bit down since we didn’t qualify in Alastaro, because it affects our position in the points standing in a negative way. We’re now eight in the points standing, and the fight for points will be really hard in the next races. We’re really looking forward to Veidec Festival, and our 1000 km long journey from Frøya begins on Tuesday, 21 July.
